Bonnie McGary was present to report on the Adoration Committee.
|
She and Lisa Lacek oversee the overall operations. There are four division leaders. There are regular hourly “Guardians of the Eucharist” with a roster of substitutes. It is not possible to guarantee a private hour to any one person as visitors are always welcome.
Bonnie distributed 3 handouts that explained the program.
The committee meets 4 times a year or more if needed. There will be an intention book instead of the prayer requests now on the door to the chapel.
To be an adorer one must be 18 years old and be baptized Catholic.
Committee members applauded Bonnie for her leadership to the Adoration Committee. Bonnie responded by asking for prayers for the adorers. |

Father Jerry encouraged all members to complete the survey and asked that they encourage others to do the same.

Sisters Hermanas Manuela Romero Castrita and Nadia Rafael Regino were arriving in Boise while this meeting was underway. There had been some visa problems.
As the old car had been totaled, a 2000 Chrysler Seabring has been purchased for $3,000 (insurance money).
These updated documents were distributed by Fr. Jerry. Some changes were noted.
Attend if you can. There will be financial assistance available.

Sponsored by the Diocese on October 16, 2007 at Holy Rosary parish. There is a long and short program. Long program is during the day and costs $15.00 if through the parish. The cost is otherwise $25.00. The short program is at night and is free. If we contact Dan Jones by October 5th the parish will pay the fee for us. Father asked that we support this event to promote stewardship.
Don Behtrendt reported that the weeds on the property have been sprayed. Dan Jones is getting bids for a 4 x 6 double sided sign.
Don will weed and maintain the property.
Father noted that we need to build the church with little debt so that the old church can be sold and a school be built with those proceeds.
Fr Jerry stated that this will be February 17, 2008, the 2nd Sunday of Lent. He usually has two couples working on this. One of the couples has moved. Therefore there is a need for a senior couple. If anyone knows of a couple who may be interested have them contact Fr Jerry.
Father distributed the fall schedule. The sessions will be on the 2nd Monday of each month Sept through Dec. |

Matt Lara noted that he had talked to Bill Graham concerning this event. Students would pay money to wear jeans and shirts. The money would go to supporting a seminarian. The Knights of Columbus want to give $500.00 to a seminarian.
This will be held at Sacred Heart on Saturday Sept 22nd. Cost is $25.00.
Next trip will be February 5, 2008.
Will be Oct 14 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at story Park by the speedway in Meridian. This event celebrated the 90th anniversary of the appearance of Mary at Fatima.
Fr Jerry reviewed the calendar.
Terry Radford lead the closing prayer.
Maureen Coon was thanked for the hospitality she provided.
Next meeting will be October 23, 2007. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 pm.
