The Knights of Columbus
Founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, the Knights of
Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service
organization, with more than 1.7 million members throughout
North America and elsewhere. Annually its members report
raising and contributing to charity more than $130 million and
volunteering more than 61 million hours of service. The State
of Idaho has 3740 members, 761 of which have progressed
through the Forth Degree.
History of Council 2014
Nampa Council 2014 was founded on 14 September, 1919. The first Grand
Knight was
Jack Obstarszyk. The Nampa Council works closely with
St. Paul's Parish and School in Nampa,
Idaho; providing
funds for various projects, members being active participants in their
parish.
